    Noles Get Another Commit


    The Noles keep rolling in regard to recruiting. FSU picked up commitment number 23 when Markus White made his verbal commit to the Noles on Monday. White is a 6'4" and 248 pound defensive end.

    After playing just two years of high school football, White began his college career at Butler Community College in Kansas and played his first season there in 2007.

    He finished the regular season with a nation-leading 24.5 sacks. He was the National JUCO Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead Butler to a national championship. White is originally from Lake Worth Florida and played at John F. Leonard High School there.

    He had orginally signed with Rutgers in February of 2006 but never qualified. After spending the fall of 06 at home, he started Butler CC in January of 07. After he graduates Butler in May of 08, White will have four years to play three.White had offers from North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and West Virginia before he committed to FSU on Monday.

    White's head coach at Butler, Troy Morrell says this, “He’s a big time player. He’s very explosive off the end…." Besides leading the nation in sacks,White also collected 85 tackles(58 solo), including 35.5 for a loss, 15 pass breakups, 21 quarterback hurries, and had forced seven fumbles.
