    Noles Begin Practicing For Wildcats

    FSU Sports Information Excerpts:

For the first time in three weeks the Florida State football team returned to the practice fields. Friday marked the first Music City Bowl practice for the Seminoles. The squad wrapped up final exams on Friday and will spend the next week preparing for Andre Woodson and the Kentucky Wildcats. FSU will practice nine more times before breaking for Christmas on the 22nd.

    Bobby Bowden

"Not a bad practice for the first day, I thought it was pretty good."

On whether the long break between practicing has affected the team:

"We're going to get so many practices in before the bowl game just like we have for the past twenty or so years. They didn't look like they've been out that long today. They jumped around pretty good, though that's usually true for the first day; everybody's fresh."

On the injured players coming back healthier for the bowl game:

"We should have some, they should be healthier. They've had plenty of time to recuperate."
