Virginia Tech starting tight end Sam Wheeler will miss the remainder of the 2007 football season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his left knee in the first quarter of the Hokie's win at Georgia Tech.
Linebacker Vince Hall, who has missed the last three games after suffering a broken wrist against Clemson, had his cast removed Friday and is now in a splint, but is out for Florida State and questionable for the Miami game on Nov. 17.
In other injuries for Virginia Tech, center Ryan Shuman (high ankle sprain) is questionable, receiver Eddie Royal (strained calf) is questionable and linebacker Xavier Adibi (ankle) is probable. Lineman Aaron Brown (left shoulder subluxation) missed the Georgia Tech game and will be out for the FSU game.
