    Head To Head Matchup: Quarterback

Maryland has had injury problems at quarterback also. Jordan Steffy started the first five games for the Terrapins before he was hurt in the Rutgers game. Chris Turner took over after Steffy was hurt on the Terps' final series of the first half and went on to help the Terps defeat then number 10 Rutgers 34-24. The 6'3" sophomore has thrown for 1,305 yards, 4 interceptions, and 4 TDs. Since taking over as the starting QB, he is 3-3 with victories over top ten teams Rutgers and Boston College. Turner's pass completion percentage is almost 65%. Against Boston College this past Saturday, Turner had his best game throwing for 337 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 interceptions. The Terrapin athletic site is succinct when it describes Turner as a "... third-year signal-caller who ...showed improvement throughout his first couple years in his accuracy and knowledge of the offense. "

Key Stats: Chris Turner ranks #11 in the ACC in passing yards. FSU ranks #10 in the ACC in pass defense.

On the Nole side is Drew Weatherford. The question for many fans is which Drew will show up for the game against the Terrapins on Saturday. Will it be the "Good" Drew or the "Bad" Drew? Prior to the Virginia Tech game last Saturday, fans witnessed the Good Drew for two games. In games against Duke and BC, he had 693 passing yards, 3 TDs, and 0 interceptions. Before being knocked out of the Virginia Tech game, he was only 5 for 15 and 46 yards passing. For the season, Weatherford has 1,381 yards and 7 TDs. He has only thrown one interception in 207 passing attempts. Though Weatherford has continued to practice this week, trainers and the doctors will determine if he will play on Saturday. If Weatherford is not cleared to play, then it is anyone's guess who will start.

Key Stats: Drew Weatherford ranks #7 in the ACC in passing yards. Maryland ranks #8 in the ACC in pass defense.
