    Coaches Hit Recruiting Trail

FSU football coaches have been hitting the recruiting trail before the start of practice for the bowl game. As has been reported, Jimbo Fisher got a commit from California junior college running back Tavares Pressley earlier this week. Nole coaches are busy visiting with recruits as recruiting winds down for this year.

According to NCAA recruiting guidelines, coaches are permitted to contact recruits as follows: "Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this time period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week." Coaches are allowed to recruit until December 16 at which time a dead period begins. The national letter of intent or signing day is February 6, 2008. FSU is currently ranked at #3 in the nation in recruiting according to one recruiting service.
